Me, Dominant?

So as part of my orientation week, I was asked to complete the DiSC workplace personality assessment.

Not surprising, I scored as a “D,” which stands for Dominance. This refers to the following qualities:

  • Direct
  • Firm
  • Srong-willed
  • Forceful
  • Results-oriented

And evidently my workplace priorities that I tend to emphasize are getting results, taking action, and offering challenge.

Additionally, what typically motivates me in the workplace are the following:

  • Implementing ideas
  • Having authority
  • Achieving results
  • Overcoming obstacles
  • Working in an innovative setting
  • Making key decisions
  • Getting things moving
  • Working toward challenging goals
  • Convincing others

Further, what I find stressful in the workplace is the following:

  • Following strict rules or protocols
  • Getting bogged down in inefficient procedures or meetings
  • Having my ideas or authority challenged
  • Having little independence or autonomy
  • Lacking control over situations
  • Slowing down my pace
  • Dealing with people who don’t meet my standards
  • Performing routine tasks
  • Being forced to pay attention to the emotional needs of others

Well, there you have it. I definitely am 100% THAT bitch. 😉
